Sophisticated, computerized-design techniques, state-of-the-art manufacturing
processes, and high-grade steel materials help Oregon® products withstand
the most extreme cutting situations--including cold-weather harvesting.
The products are known for their exceptional strength and reliability.
The new 18HX saw chain is an enhanced version of our aggressive, durable 18H chain built exclusively for mechanized timber harvesters. It features a thicker drive link, making the saw chain stronger and less likely to break. The load bearing surface of the rivets was increased to fit the thicker drive link. This consequently enlarges the contact area and lubrication surface within the moving part of the chain.
Another Oregon® first is the Jet-Fit™ solid harvester-sprocket-nose
bar. The product greatly reduces the time needed to change the guide
bar and cutting chain on harvester-machine felling heads. No tools
are needed to change bar and chain on machines fitted with specific
auto tensioners. Jet-Fit™ protects the felling-head bar holder in
a felling or other operational accident. Jet-Fit™ is available on
solid bars for machines requiring a l5 mm mounting slot.
Oregon® rounds out its harvester accessory line with three types of
chain drive sprockets--spur, rim, and pin. The sprockets are built
to exacting specifications from high-strength alloy steel for top
performance, excellent durability, and to help assure long cutting-chain
life.
